Inside the structure of zeolite clinoptilolite there are several ions like Na+, K+, Ca+2 and Mg+2, which are also known as exchangeable ions. These ions can easily replace other cations in aqueous solutions without disturbing the aluminosilica structure. In literature, this phenomenon is known as “ion exchange” or “cation exchange”. A cleaning process is achieved by replacing harmful elements such as ammonium, lead, mercury and other heavy metals.
Clinoptilolite (zeolite) acts as a magnet for various toxins, fungi and heavy metals. And thanks to ion exchange, it traps these toxins in its own structure. Trapped heavy metals and clinoptilolite are excreted from the body.
Clinoptilolite which is also very rich in Calcium (Ca), creates the necessary calcium source needed for the wound to heal.
